Generally, the effluent water quality can reach above 18 mega-ohms, and has certain control ability to TOC and SIO 2. Polishing resins are H and OH in ionic form, which need not be regenerated after filling and use. Usually used in semiconductor industry.

 

Common models and differences: Common models are AMBERJET UP6150, AMBERJET UP6040 and so on. (The main difference between UP6150 and UP6040 is in the treatment of TOC and SIO_2. The treatment capacity of UP6150 can be in TOC <=20ppb, SIO_2 <=5ppb; the treatment capacity of UP6040 can be in TOC <=15ppb, SIO_2 <=2ppb)

 

Filling notes:

1. Polishing resin is a mixture of hydrogen-type strong acidic cation exchange resin and hydrogen-oxygen-type strong alkaline anion exchange resin.

2.  In operation, if water is added to facilitate filling, please pay attention to the need to use pure water, not too much water. At the same time, water must be pumped out or discharged immediately after the resin enters the resin tank to avoid the resin stratification.

3.  If you need to fill resin by hand, be sure to wash your hands and do not bring grease into the resin tank.

4.  In order to replace resin, the tank and water collector must be cleaned completely, and the bottom of the tank must not be left with old resin. Otherwise, the used resin will pollute the water quality.

5. O-ring and urgency must be replaced regularly. At the same time, the relevant components must be checked every time they are changed. If there is any breakage, they must be replaced immediately. Check the water collector, if there is blockage, it should be removed.

6.   When using FRP barrel groove as resin bed, the catchment pipe should be left in the barrel groove and then filled with resin. In the process of filling resin, the catchment pipe should be shaken from time to time so that the position of the catchment pipe can be adjusted and the cap can be installed at the end.

7.  If the resin is filled first, it will be difficult to insert the catchment pipe. If it is necessary to fill the resin before inserting into the catchment pipe, the FRP trough filled with resin can be placed horizontally on the ground, slowly rolling the bucket trough to loosen the resin, and then slowly inserting the catchment pipe into the resin.

8.  After filling the resin and connecting the pipeline, the aerator at the upper end of the barrel groove should be opened and slowly filled with water until the aerator overflowed and no more bubbles were produced, then the aerator should be closed and water extraction started.            


Today, the resin industry, especially polishing resin, is in short supply. Dow, for example, is facing a serious shortage of products with a supply period of more than 10 months.
